The Rotary Club of Perth held their Annual Charity Golf Day at King James VI Golf Club yesterday.  23 teams played in the event and whilst the weather did not match the normal sunny conditions the golf day normally serves up, the players only had to dodge a few showers.  The course was in great condition and a number of good scores were returned.

The winning team were KingJames VI Seniors, who managed to retain the trophy, with a fantastic score of 121!  They may need to have their handicap certificates reviewed next year!

The St. Johnstone team won the Red Ball competition and hopefully they will win another trophy on the 17th of May.  King James VI Captain Dougie Taylor and Rotary President Mike Hope passed on their best wishes to Saints Chairman,  Steve Brown, for the Scottish Cup final.

The Rotary Club Charity Golf Day has been held at King James VI GC for over20 years and Captain Dougie Taylor said they would always be welcome.

The Rotary Club raise fantastics sums of money to help local causes and charities.  They recently presented a cheque for £10,000 to the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance and as KJVI members will know, the air ambulance made a visit to The Island last week to airlift a visiting golfer who had a suspected heart attack.

We Look forward to welcoming the Rotary Club back to King JamesVI in 2015.
