The 60 juniors that played in the Open took advantage of the good weather and a course in excellent condition to return some remarkable scores with the Draper brothers from Dunblane New GC both going home with big cuts in their handicaps and 20 players scoring less than par. Sandy Shackles Murrayshall with a scratch 70 won the 15years and over King James VI Trophy, Calum Graham 71 Crieff GC was 2nd and in 3rd place was Brad Bannerman 72 bih Strathmore GC. The T.O.M. Blair Handicap Trophy for best net in the 15 years and over was won by Niall Draper 74(12)64, John Cowan 72 (6) 66 Pitlochry was 2nd and Alexander Hay 74(6)68 bih was 3rd.

In the 14 years and under age group Calum Draper playing of a 15 handicap scored a scratch 73 bih to win the J.C. Russell Memorial Trophy, 2nd scratch was Harry Clark 75 Auchterarder GC and Jack Lockhart 79 bih Pitreavie was 3rd.  The T.O.M. Blair Handicap Trophy for 14 years and under was won by Andrew Thornton 73(9)64 Muckhart GC, 2nd was Struan Fotheringhame 82(17)65 Milnathort GC, 3rd place was Brian McCormack 86(19)67bih.

The BP Shield for best KJVI GC member was won by Ben Anderson 97(24)73.

The Girls also returned very good scores with Zoie Morton Auchterarder winning the scratch with 78 and Shannon Pook 83(20)63 winning the best net score.

The CSS was Home 69, Away 68 and Girls 73.

Thank you to Jim Sievwright and his staff for the condition of the course, Allan Knox and Matthew in Pro Shop for looking after late entries, Paul Henderson and his staff for looking after the players refreshment and food requirements and Mike Brown, Neil Kinnear, Ron McClelland, Ann Arnold and Ann Smith for their help in making the Open run smoothly.
