New date for - The Black Grouse Christmas Texas Scramble
31st December 2011
Due to recent wet weather, we have taken the decision to postpone the Christmas Texas Scramble until Saturday 14th January - 10am for 10.30am shotgun start. We will retain all the original entries but the entry sheet will be put back on the noticeboard for any teams who need to reorganise for the new date.

Club Telephone Problem

The Black Grouse Christmas Texas Scramble Rescheduled
26th December 2011
Unfortunately the high tides combined with very high flow of water down the river has resulted in a lot on water on the course. The Black Grouse Christmas Texas Scramble tomorrow has been cancelled and will now be held on Tuesday 3rd January - 10am for 10.30am shotgun start. We will assume unless notified that all teams will be able to play on that date. The course will be open tomorrow (Tuesday) for winter league (eclectics only) over those hole which are playable.

GOLFER'S INSURANCE
9th December 2011
Most members will have seen details of the recent court case involving a golfer who was seriously injured by a stray shot, at a course in West Lothian, which resulted in damages of £400,000 being awarded to the claimant (70% payable by the golfer, 30% by the club). All golfers are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for such an accident. Most household insurance policies provide personal liability cover but members may wish to check that they have this cover. There are also a number of 'golfers policies' available from a variety of companies to cover these eventualities.
